Founded in August 2014, Oleum Academy is a skills development initiative born out of our commitment to raise the automotive maintenance standard in Nigeria. It offers Automotive-mechatronics, lubrication and entrepreneurship trainings for mechanics and autotechnicians nationwide. Our Oleum Academy mission is to contribute to the closure of knowledge gap by 80% and to ensure Nigerians have access to professional and technically sound automotive support.

As a leading player in the Nigerian LPG market, we play a strategic role in enhancing the LPG value chain and have invested in varied initiatives to support quality and healthy living. We are passionate about switching the nation from dirty cooking fuels to safer and cleaner cooking methods, via O-Gas. In 2013, we partnered with the Lagos State Government on its Eko Gas scheme designed to deepen the acceptance of LPG and deliver on-lending facilities to help reach the bottom of the socio-economic class – amongst other initiatives.
A regional inter-school cooking and debate competition aimed at cultivating culinary skills while encouraging the use of LPG in Nigerian homes. Over 250 Secondary Schools have participated nationwide so far.
A complimentary service that provides clean cooking fuels to NYSC camp kitchens nationwide. It also enlightens Corp members on the benefits of healthy cooking fuels as a form of edutainment via cookouts.
A social media competition that motivates consumers to nominate their favourite road-side food vendors for a switch from unhealthy cooking fuels to O-Gas. Over 60 bukkas have been switched nationwide since 2016.
A social benefit scheme that switched the popular Akara-Osu sellers from unhealthy cooking fuels to O-Gas. This was in response to the health challenges they developed due to their previous cooking methods.
Invested Brand and product activation to segmented target audience in market and public environs. have invested over N100m in 30 cities across the nation (impacting approximately 8,000 homes) via our public enlightenment drives.
An innovative solution that offers on-the-spot dispensing of LPG at strategic locations nationwide.
Partnering with MFIs, this scheme provides soft loans for the purchase of LPG to low-income earners in Nigeria.

Launched in 2016, OVH Energy Prodigy is inspired by the need to groom young Nigerian talents/ students through learning, mentoring and promoting creativity. Our annual competition stirs young creative minds towards developing their constructive and cognitive skills. It also serves as a platform for proffering solutions to prevailing business issues. This commitment is largely driven by the UN 2030 sustainable development agenda off promoting learning opportunities and improving literacy skills amongst young people.OVH Energy remains committed to continually impact lives, especially that of Nigerian students, through learning.
The maiden edition with theme ‘Sustainable Solutions to Tackling Climate Change’ was won by a young female medical practitioner, Dr. Adetola Rachael Adeyeye in February 2016. Our first feature article writing competition winner stirred quite a surprise given the margin that lies between the practice of medicine and the literary world.
The theme for the 2nd edition centered around proposing innovative ideas that could bring about social change in Nigeria. Our 2018 winner, Solomon Tolulope Oyakhire is a 23 year old first class graduate of Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos; he is set to pursue his PhD studies in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University starting September 2018 as a Knight-Hennessy scholar. He learnt about the competition through his friend and is grateful for the opportunity to present his ideas through writing
