Improving Access to Clean Energy
27.09.19

On Tuesday, September 26, 2019, we educated and donated O-Gas cooking stoves to 100 pregnant women and nursing mothers at Ajeromi Community Hospital, Ajegunle. The beneficiaries who previously used dirty cooking fuels were enlightened by the potential health risks they had exposed themselves, their children and the environment to.

Our passion to reduce the negative impacts of dirty cooking fuels on vulnerable communities, drives our investment to switch urban households to O-Gas – a cleaner, safer and more affordable cooking option. This project was implemented in collaboration with the World Economic Forum Global Shapers, Lagos Hub’s Clean Energy initiative.

The event led by the Group Head, External Relations & Communication, OVH Energy,  Dr. Oyet Gogomary, had in attendance the Company Secretary and Group Head Legal, Adaeze Nwakoby; Head Oil & Gas Department, Lagos State Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, Engr. Odukoya Sesan; DMD, Ajeromi General Hospital, Dr. Adewale Idowu amongst others.
